So my New Years resolution was to write more on my blog so here it goes... I promise I will post at least once a week... and today's should make up for my lack the last couple of months..
So let's talk Wild Card weekend. Cincinnati is that team that cant sustain.. it was written all over them the last couple of games this season. I am just not buying into Carson Palmer's greatness anymore. It seems so natural to say USC=great but I think it's okay to let them have a couple duds every now and then. He is average and there has to be a couple average quarterbacks out there, heck we can't all be Peyton Manning.
And then we have Donovan. The trade talks have started again- shocked are you? I'm sure it's only a week before Chicago is mentioned in there even though they have their quarterback( ha! ). Donovan McNabb is a great quarterback surrounded by some sub par players. The key to being a great player- when the game is on the line how do you perform? That make s a great player out of just an everyday NFL player. Tony Romo- I am starting to become a believer. Please do not prove me wrong...
Let's get to Baltimore.. Now I am an AFC girl and should be really rallying behind the Ravens but the divisional rivalry keeps me from doing so... however damn that defense showed up. I loved watching the pregame and all the Baltimore players ripping Tom Brady for being a wimp and sucking up to the ref's.... guess what Tom- you were on your back a majority of that game. And I have to say- it was pretty to watch.
Ah Green Bay/Arizona... you made me age 10 years- have indigestion and want to puke all in the same 3 hours. Mark my words this was the best game of the 2009/2010 season. However I have been behind the Green Bay bench for 2 games this season looking at the defense- did they not show up last night? Clay Matthews Jr...love of my life- where were you? Woodson- tackle much? We love a good ball strip but you need to STOP the OFFENSE!!! All blown calls aside- this was a defensive breakdown but a damn good offensive showing. Aaron Rodgers is the real deal my friends- mark my words.

Football football and more football...
What a crazy weekend. Let's start with college football. I love how everyone who was riding Chase Daniels coat tails since spring have now jumped the bandwagon to Colt McCoy. Am I the only one that thinks his name has porn star written all over it? Really though, give Colt one game where he throws a couple to the wrong team and some random guy from the O line of Alabama will be the next big thing. I know its sink or swim time now that the BCS is out. But I am not a believer. I remember the Colt from last year and I think the number 1 ranking is a curse, not a good thing. Oh and USC at 5, please.
I was impressed by: Penn State though they scared the bejesus out of me in the first half. I like to think JoPa planned it that way! Ball State, I cannot believe they are still in the hunt. Good for them, they deserve a good bowl game-I am predicting Outback. Northwestern, where did they come from? And their coach, not bad to look at either.
NFL. How awesome did Aaron Rodgers look? Hey Colin Cowherd, wanna talk about how Green Bay completely messed up their season by letting Brett go. Hmmm everyone is really quiet now. Pittsburgh-they looked good against a really bad Bengals team. Really what do you have to look forward to in Cincinnati?
Finally- Congrats to the Rays. I think it will be a boring World Series but oh well- Evan Longoria-call me.

Let's talk baseball...or as much as I can muster with no White Sox involved..
I turned off the game last night early and thought the Rays had it in the bag, who didn't? Only to get the call this morning that Boston pulled it off. What? Let me tell you, that team has what my White Sox lacked this season, Drive. Down by 7, no problem. The world outside of your city hoping you choke because frankly, they are tired of hearing about you, we don't care. It isn't over till its over. Now, I do think the Rays are taking the series and hope they win it all ( hey-they beat my team and were so pretty doing so!) but it is great to see some competition in a rather boring time in baseball when your team is out of the postseason. So, baring a mound brawl in the next game( which I predict/hope Balfour would be involved in) this series had its excitement finally and showed that Thursday night college football wasn't the only thing worth watching last night.
On another note, it's Friday which means high school football and oh yes, College GameDay tomorrow morning. Go Penn State!!!!

An Introduction
I decided to write this blog because frankly, my 2 month old has no interest in hearing why I think the Pittsburgh Steelers could win it all this year. My poor husband keeps getting random phone calls from me everytime I get angry listening to sports talk radio. So, here is a little about me to get you started.
I am a 30 yr old woman, married with 3 kids. Up until about 4 months ago I worked in sales for 10 years. I love sports and everything that comes with it. I love the highs when my team wins and the lows when the disappoint, over and over again( no I am not a Cubs fan). My favorite teams you ask, here they are in random order:
Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State and the Chicago White Sox. I like Indiana Basketball and love me some Chicago Bulls( if they can ever get their heads out of their asses).
The "other men" in my life: Joe Paterno and Terry Bradshaw. I admit to enjoy watching Kurt Herbstreit on Saturday mornings and Lee Corso is by far the best college football analyst in my book.
So, this is where we begin. I have no claim to know everything there is about sports and will most likely make some people mad with my opinions, but oh well. You only live once my friends and honestly, girls know a lot more about balls then we let on...
